About this tea
A robust, full-bodied blend traditionally crafted to pair well with milk and sugar for a morning energy boost. As a fully oxidized black tea, it typically features a rich amber liquor and a malty, brisk flavor profile designed to awaken the senses. While its components vary by specific brand, classic breakfast blends are predominantly composed of strong black teas originating from regions like Assam in India, Ceylon from Sri Lanka, and sometimes African teas from Kenya, carefully combined to achieve a consistent, bold taste.
Ingredients
100% Black Tea leaves (50% Indian Assam black tea to provide the structural backbone, heavy body, and signature maltiness;) 30% Sri Lankan Ceylon black tea to introduce brightness, briskness, and subtle citrus high notes; and 20% Kenyan black tea to impart a deep reddish-copper color and vibrant strength.
Brewing instructions
To prepare the optimal cup, measure one teaspoon of loose-leaf tea per serving, pour freshly boiled water heated to 100°C directly over the leaves, and allow it to steep undisturbed for three to five minutes depending on your desired strength
